Month 4

Dan’s belly was big & round by this time, & it began to reveal over his belly button from his shirts. During this, he had finally made his final decision to keep the growing child within him. He waited this long to make his final decision to see if he could grow more attached to it. He had already grown attached to it since month 3, but he only thought it was his hormones. Giving his big belly a caring cuddle, he grabbed his iPhone & gave Rod a call.

¨Hello?¨ Rod answered. ¨Rod? How you been?¨ he replied asking. ¨Oh, I’ve been good, just selling these avocados a few blocks away from the theater,¨ he responded chuckling a bit. ¨So, did you make your decision?¨ he asked receiving the money from the store owner. ¨Yes, I’m keeping it,¨ Dan answered giving his belly another rub. ¨Alright, so, I guess I’ll see you around soon?¨ Rod asked. ¨Actually, I want you to come tomorrow to my monthly check up,¨ Dan told him as he made his way down onto his bed. ¨What for?¨      ¨Well, I think it would be great if you’d take a look at your baby don’t you think?¨ Dan asked. Rod thought for a moment, & then answered, ¨Guess you’re right. I’ll see you then…wait, what clinic or hospital?¨ he asked before hanging up. ¨It’s the San Moses hospital. You know which one right?¨          ¨Yes. Damn that place is expensive,¨ Rod responded a bit shocked to where the medical help was being held. Dan laughed a bit, ¨Alright, I’ll see you there tomorrow morning at 10AM?¨            ¨Sure thing. Bye,¨ he responded. ¨Laters,¨ Dan finished & hung up as Rod hung up at the same time.

The next morning, Rod & Dan were in the room with Dan’s doctor doing the ultrasound. Rod watched the small baby within Dan’s belly, it was amazing. ¨So uhh…doc, is it a boy or a girl?¨ Rod asked. ¨Well, let’s see,¨ the doctor responded moving the mouse around to the baby’s groin area. ¨Well…it seems that you two will be expecting a boy,¨ he announced. Dan smiled & looked up at Rod. Rod was also smiling, for he hoped it was a boy. The doctor turned off the machine & left the room to get some papers.

Dan & Rod then talked, ¨So, what do you want to do?¨ Rod asked as he sat & gave Dan’s belly a rub. ¨I guess when he arrives, I will visit you as often as I can,¨ he replied. ¨yeah, but I meant right now, while you’re still pregnant,¨ he clarified what he tried to ask. ¨Oh, well, I don’t know. You want me to still visit you? You could use the company,¨ he responded again. ¨I guess that works for me. Wouldn’t mind having someone over, maybe you can even spend the night over sometime,¨ he joked grinning. ¨I actually wouldn’t mind spending a night over,¨ Dan responded as Rod smiled & giving his belly another rub.

Month 6

Dan had a larger belly now, & he felt like he was carrying a large rock. He was currently over at Rod’s farm, just there doing something. Rod meanwhile had just arrived from working out in the fields. He removed his hat & removed his shirt. Dan was watching from behind the screen door, the sight of Rod’s big hairy pecs turned him on. Another man appeared suddenly & sat on the opposite of the table Rod was sitting in.

By the look of it, the two were doing business. Dan heard his belly growl & headed into Rod’s kitchen to see what he could find to eat. The man with the thick mustache & Rod talked for about ten minutes about the new water pipe Rod wanted to install. ¨Look, this is as cheap as I can lower it,¨ he stated to Rod. ¨Are you sure it can’t be any lower? I mean…¨ Rod said but didn’t finish as he saw Dan come over with some lemonade. ¨Brought you some lemonade,¨ he said putting the plate with the pitcher & two glass cups in the middle of the table. ¨Thanks Dan,¨ Rod thanked giving Dan’s belly a quick rub, & served himself some lemonade. ¨Thank you very much,¨ the other man responded with a smile taking a cup & serving himself some after Rod. Dan nodded & waddled back to the house.

The man turned to Rod & smiled, ¨So I see you two got busy,¨ he said laughing a bit. ¨Heh, yeah, but we’re not together,¨ he corrected drinking more of his lemonade. ¨Really? Then why is he here with you, giving you some lemonade? ¨ the man asked Rod curiously & confused. ¨We met online, & just wanted too…you know, & then that happened. And now, we agreed that the baby will be with both of us, we’re not together, but Dan over there wants me to be with it,¨ he explained. The man nodded & then went back to the business the two had.

Back in the house, Rod & Dan watched some television. The conversation Rod & the man had earlier made Dan curious to what they were talking about, ¨Rod, what were you & that mustache guy talking about?¨     ¨Huh? Oh, well, it was just business,¨ Rod replied. ¨What kind of business?¨ he asked. Rod sighed, ¨Just, about getting a new pipe. Need some extra cash for it.¨    ¨Well, how much does it cost?¨ Dan continued to ask seeing if he could help. ¨Four hundred thousand pesos,¨ Rod answered. ¨How much do you need?¨        ¨No, no, I’ll pay it myself. I don’t want you to be going through problems with your parents,¨ Rod stated.

Dan raised a brow, ¨Rod, I don’t need my parents to help me, I have my own money,¨ he said sounding a bit serious to help Rod out. ¨I don’t want you to waste to much money simply to help me out,¨ Rod said again. ¨It’s the best I can do to repay for what you’re doing for the baby,¨ Dan replied. Rod let out a huge sigh again, he knew this guy wouldn’t back down, ¨Alright, fine,¨ he answered & made a phone call.

A week later, the water pipe people finished installing Rod’s new water pipe for his farm. Now Rod’s avocado trees would get the exact amount of water they needed every day to grow big & fresh. ¨Thanks Dan, you really helped me out,¨ Rod said to the heavily pregnant boy hugging him. ¨It was nothing big guy,¨ he replied hugging back. That same day a few hours later, Rod decided to go with Dan to the beach. Rod hasn’t had any time to go to the beach. The last time he was at the beach was around 3 years back. So, he decided to take a bit of a break today.

Dan waddled down the beach in his red trunks as Rod walked with a pair of black speedos. Dan wasn’t ashamed of wearing them in a public beach, but Dan only turned red seeing him in them, & he also blushed a bit at how good he looked with them. The two stopped at a spot near the tide pools; Rod took out a large sheet from the basket & set it out as Dan watched, holding his belly.

Rod then placed the basket in the middle of the sheets to hold it down, & helped Dan lower himself to sit. While the two of them were still confused as a couple by everyone, Dan & Rod always had to deal with it. Rod was simply the father of the baby, & also the one who knocked Dan up, that was all. But some people just persisted, & it mainly annoyed Dan, because he was the one who was always teased about it.

Dan was building a small sand castle of how bored he got while Rod tanned himself under the sun. As he played a broken shell to create the bridge of the castle, he felt the baby give its first kick. ¨Oh! Rod! Rod come here!¨ he called to Rod happily. Rod lifted his waist up & removed his sunglasses; he had a tan line, ¨What?!¨ he yelled from the distance. ¨Come over here!¨ Dan called again. Rod put his glasses aside, & walked over.

¨What is it?¨ he asked, hoping this was good. ¨The baby, it just kicked for the first time!¨ Dan told him the news, looking down at his belly, smiling. Rod looked down at Dan’s belly as well, & gave a big grin. He then reached to touch it, ¨Mmmm…it’s warm,¨ Rod said rubbing it. At that moment, he felt another kick. The kick made Rod chuckle a bit, ¨Active ain’t he?¨ he asked teasing.

A week later & before Dan struck his 7^th month, the two went to another of Dan’s check ups. Dan watched as the baby had gotten bigger, & could see it more clearly now. Rod smiled seeing the baby he put into Dan, ¨So doc, how is he doing?¨ he asked. ¨He’s doing fine. The baby is perfectly healthy. Dan seems to be doing great for his first time,¨ the doc announced as he moved the mouse some more around Dan’s big belly. Dan smiled, he was glad to hear that he was doing perfect for his first time & that the baby was healthy.

Dan stepped off the bed, with Rod’s help, & lowered his shirt, not that it mattered seeing that he couldn’t cover his belly anymore. At that moment, he felt the baby boy give another kick. Rod paid the doc a few pesos for the ultrasound check up, & walked Dan out the door. Rod gave Dan a ride home this time again. Dan didn’t like Rod giving him rides home because it was a lot of algae energy he used to drive him from the farm to his house. But Rod always insisted, & didn’t even care about how much he wasted; all he cared about was for Dan & the baby to arrive home safely. Cabs weren’t too reliable at times.

Month 8

Dan’s belly had gotten huge, & the baby would constantly assault him with kicks & punches. But despite the size of his belly, & the constant beatings from his son, Dan was more worried about how close he was to delivering him. He would rub his belly most of the time now because the baby boy would always become active, & he tried calming it down. But the baby boy would either just continue the rampage within Dan or actually settle down for a while. It was a miracle if it didn’t act up for at least half the day.

Dan was in Rod’s truck waiting for Rod to make his way around the car to help him off. It was pretty much impossible for Dan to get on or off any automobile without help. But he had Rod for that now, at least when he took a ride in his truck. Rod opened the door & helped the heavily pregnant boy off, but gave Dan’s large, swollen belly a kiss. The kiss on his sensitive belly felt so good, & made him feel Rod was really looking forward to this baby. ¨Alright, so, I’ll see you on Friday?¨ Rod said before he left to his side & drove off. ¨You bet,¨ Dan responded gladly. But he felt a bit down for the two of them always felt so depressed apart, especially since they always met on Wednesday, Friday, & Sunday.

Dan stepped into his home, & then made his way on the small seat attached to the walls of the house stairs. His parents had that electric moving chair installed in the house so Dan could make his way up the stairs much easier. Stepping off, he went into his room & lied down on his bed. He looked at his belly, which was acting up again, & gave it a rub. He felt so lonely right now without Rod with him. Over the pasty few months, Rod & Dan treated this pregnancy & their talks like a business, & Rod seemed to have been the only one to have been taking it to this level. Dan however, began to grow more fond & in love with the old man. When he was around Rod, he felt so complete, & he wanted Rod to be there all the time for the baby, not just as a visiting father.

As he was reminiscing, Dan’s mother knocked on the door, which was open, ¨May I come in?¨ she sincerely asked Dan smiling. Dan gave a nod to his mom & went back to looking at the ceiling. ¨How did it go with Rodney today?¨ she asked her son sitting on the bed. His mother had been calling Rod by Rodney now; it was her habit of adding a completion to a 3 letter name. ¨What’s wrong Dannon? You looks so depressed,¨ she asked her son moving a golden lock of her hair from her face. ¨Nothing mom…I just…I just miss Rod right now,¨ he said to his mom a bit bummed. She looked to the side, & then moved her hand through Dan’s head, ¨You love him don’t you Dannon?¨ she asked. Dan sighed again, & nodded.

His mom moved closer to him, & spoke again, ¨Dannon, if you really want him to love you, he won’t read your mind, you have to tell him. Plus, if you want to spend more time with him, we’re not holding you back. All we want is for you to let us know how you’re doing if you plan on staying longer.¨ Dan understood what she meant. But he was surprised how she didn’t object to him loving a man who was almost three times older than him. ¨Invite him over to our house for dinner tonight sweetie, your father & I would love to meet him,¨ she told Dan as she looked at him. ¨Really? Oh, but he doesn’t have any nice clothing to wear,¨ Dan enlightened her. ¨Ahahaha, so you know much more about him than I thought,¨ she said starting to laugh. Dan turned red; he did know a lot about this man than he should have. ¨I have some of your father’s old clothes, they might fit him, seeing that Rod is as big as your father used to be,¨ she said to him. Dan agreed to let Rod use some of his dad’s clothes to use for dinner. He made his way off the bed with his mom’s help, & went to grab his phone. ¨Hello?¨ Dan asked as he heard Rod pick the phone up. ¨Listen, Rod, why don’t you come over for dinner today, at my house?¨ Dan asked. ¨Yes, today. My parents really want to meet you…I know you don’t have any fancy clothes, my mom will let you borrow some of my dad’s old clothes…yes they will fit you, just come over…alright, thanks. Bye Rod, see you over here,¨ Dan finished & hung up & went to shower himself.

Rod was at Dan’s door, breathing heavily, & nervous. This would be his first official time meeting Dan’s parents up close & personal. The only times he’s seen them is when they open the door for Dan to enter, & he’d just wave at them from his truck. But now, he’d have to have dinner with them, & possibly talk with them. He straightened up, took a deep breathe, & knocked on the door.

Lucky for him, Dan answered. ¨Hey,¨ Dan smiled welcoming his baby’s father in. ¨Hey…so, where are…¨ he was about to ask when Dan interrupted, ¨They’re in the kitchen, preparing dinner. Come, I’ll give you your new clothes,¨ Dan said to him as he waddled towards the stairs, pulling Rod’s hands. ¨Can I shower first?¨ he asked as he felt his hand being tugged. ¨I thought you already bathed before coming?¨ Dan asked a bit annoyed.

Upstairs, Dan sat on his bed, his belly between his legs, waiting for Rod to exit the shower. He heard the door open, & saw Rod walk out with the towel wrapped on his waist. The sight of his strong, upper body made Dan feel hot. But he remembered that Rod was still naked, in his room, ¨Here, put these on,¨ Dan struggled to make his way off bed. ¨Just wait there, I’ll take them,¨ Rod said stopping the heavily pregnant boy from getting off the bed, & taking the clothes. After about 5 minutes, Rod came out with Dan’s dad’s clothes on. They were a perfect fit. ¨They fit just fine,¨ he stated fixing the sleeves a bit. Dan admired the old man wearing such fine clothes. ¨Was your father really this big before?¨ he asked looking a bit shocked. Dan nodded, & was then helped by Rod off the bed. ¨Thanks, let’s go downstairs. Dinner is probably ready,¨ he said holding the bottom of his belly, & waddling out his room.

Downstairs, Rod was stopped halfway to the kitchen by Dan’s parents, who rushed up to greet him. ¨Why hello! You must be Rodney! I’m very pleased to meet you!¨ Dan’s mother yelled happily shaking Rod’s hand. Rod smiled as he felt nervous touching her hand. Dan’s mother was a beautiful woman; she had golden colored, wavy hair that was about the length of her back, beautiful brown large eyes, a small nose, & fleshy lips. ¨It’s nice to meet you too,¨ Rod replied still nervous. ¨Call me Esmeralda,¨ Dan’s mom finished. Then a man who was dark-skinned, with a big, semi fat nose, a nice smile, hazel eyes, & black military cut hair shook his hand, ¨It’s great you decided to come over for dinner. The name is Eduard,¨ he greeted Rod with his deep voice. ¨Yeah, I felt it would be great, leaving the house for a while,¨ he chuckled. He knew this man was Dan’s father, they looked alike. ¨Ahem, so, shall we head for the table now?¨ Dan asked feeling grumpy, his stomach growling for food. ¨Oh, yes, please, follow me Rodney,¨ Esmeralda said turning & heading for the kitchen, everyone following behind.

At the table, it remained quiet for about ten minutes. Dan was eating all he could for the cravings were burning again. Rod was nervous enough to eat as much as Dan. But Eduard decided to break the silence, ¨So, Rodney, my son tells me that you work in the avocado business,¨ he said to Rod putting his wine glass down. ¨Oh, yes, I do,¨ Rod responded quickly. ¨How does the business go for you?¨ Esmeralda asked as she wiped her mouth. ¨Fine, making enough ends meat,¨ he responded again looking at Dan. ¨Dan tells me that you’re also a great storyteller,¨ Eduard asked another question drinking his wine. ¨Really? So how much does this guy tell you about me?¨ Rod chuckled looking at Dan, who began to turn red. ¨Oh, plenty. He knows a lot about you, it’s like he is still in love with you…¨    ¨Eduard!¨ his wife yelled & slapped him on the shoulder. ¨What?¨ he ignorantly asked as if he said nothing wrong. ¨All I said was…¨    ¨Dad! Please, just…be quiet about that,¨ Dan said to his dad angrily. Rod felt a bit awkward from the current argument, he would stay out of it, but at the same time, he wondered what they were all talking about.

A few more minutes passed as the family started a different conversation & rolled with it. Dan still hadn’t gotten enough courage to tell Rod how he really felt about him, so he never brought it up. Rod on the other hand was growing fonder of Dan’s parents. It seemed they were the people who were really easy to talk to, but Dan could have told him that.

As Rod was getting ready to leave, he asked where to place the clothes he borrowed, but Dan’s parents offered for him to keep them, since no one else in the house fit into them. Thanking them, he turned to leave. As he walked across the lawn, he head Dan call to him. Turning, Rod saw him waddling over to him. ¨What?¨ he asked. ¨I’m coming with you,¨ Dan said stopping & cracking his back. ¨Wait, you don’t have to come visit until it’s Friday,¨ Rod clarified a bit confused. ¨I know, but, I thought I’d spend more time at a farm, & with you,¨ Dan replied smiling. Rod looked at Dan & thought for a moment. But he made his decision, & accepted Dan to let him come over.

In Rod’s home, the two of them shared the same sofa bed in the living room, & watched some Chelsea Lately. Dan scooted in a little closer to the old man as Rod laughed to one of the quotes. When the show ended they finally adjusted themselves for bed. Rod slept on his side of the bed, while Dan slept on his. But Dan didn’t want it that way, ¨Rod, Rod,¨ he said to Rod. ¨Hmm?¨ he turned to the young man. ¨Hold me,¨ Dan asked hoping he would. ¨Dan, you know we’re…¨     ¨I know! I know! But please, just hold me,¨ Dan asked again almost begging. Rod sighed, & reached his arm over & held Dan close to him. ¨Better now?¨ Rod asked feeling Dan’s belly. Dan nodded, & fell directly asleep. Rod didn’t sleep in about an hour since Dan did. He began to feel odd about this whole situation with him & Dan. Was he beginning to fall for Dan? Unable to think straight, he gently made his way off the bed, making sure not to wake Dan up, & headed for the kitchen.

When he returned from eating a quick midnight snack, he went back into bed, & strangely, positioned himself next to Dan in a spooning position. Rod didn’t know why, but he just felt like positioning himself that way. ‘Oh old man, what is wrong with you?’ Rod thought to himself. ‘You know what you two are. But why are you suddenly growing more affectionate to him?’ he continued to think as he truly wondered what was going on with him. Dan & he were only two people who had sex, & it ended up as a pregnancy. He sighed again, & tried to go to bed. Successfully, he slept that night.

The next day, Rod took a break from work today, & decided to take a walk through the city. He couldn’t get it out of his head how he was beginning to act & change around Dan. He was the baby’s father alright, but he didn’t really want much to do with all of it other than to just pay the child support, & a few visits if Dan wanted. The thoughts raced in his mind, & couldn’t think of nothing more. Was Rod really falling in love with that boy?

Rod entered the doors of his home as he spotted Dan still resting in bed. ¨Hey, where were you?¨ he asked the old man changing the channel. ¨I needed to go out & think for a bit,¨ Rod replied putting his hands in his pocket. ¨What are you still doing in bed?¨ Rod asked out of curiosity. ¨Oh, I just felt like staying in bed today. Your son won’t let me breathe if I stand up,¨ he laughed answering. Rod couldn’t help but smile hearing that. ¨Did you eat?¨ he proceeded to asking. Dan nodded, & told Rod what he ate for breakfast.

The very next day, Rod awoke early again today, & took another day off from work. He was sitting on the edge of the sofa bed, thinking again, for he finally admitted to himself that he loved Dan. But he also wondered how Dan would accept it after this much time. Dan could only see him as what the two called each other, & he knew that Dan had wanted him to love for a while. But at this point, Rod felt like a jerk for not accepting the love Dan gave him.

Dan awoke a little later & saw the old man on the edge of the bed. ¨You’re up early,¨ Rod spoke before Dan could. ¨You too,¨ Dan replied chuckling as he stretched his arms & let out a yawn. ¨Wanna go have some breakfast & then to the beach?¨ Rod offered. Hearing that, Dan nodded & came up to hug him from behind. ¨I’ll be right back, just let me get ready,¨ he said to the old man & waddled into the bathroom. After coming out looking nice, Rod went into the bathroom himself, & cleaned up. Exiting, Dan & he left to have some breakfast.

At the beach, Rod & Dan had breakfast at one of the restaurants the beach had. Rod ordered a simple plate of pancakes with bacon, sausage & eggs, while Dan ordered pretty much everything on the menu. As Dan ate, Rod watched him, still thinking how he would tell him about his feelings towards him. At this moment, Rod just decided to remain quiet, & decide to tell him at his 9^th month. He looked back at his plate, & continued to eat. Rod then called for the check while Dan finished the last of the orange juice in the pitcher. The old man paid the bill, left a tip, & walked with Dan to the beach.

The two spent a while together on the dry part of the beach, sitting down. Dan was looking at some of the other hot, muscular men on the beach as Rod watched him, getting a bit jealous. Dan mainly had his eyes focused on a very beefy-looking tiger shark in a pair of bright yellow speedos. Dan was wondering if that shark, after he had his baby of course, would date him, & willing to be his son’s father. But Dan’s dreams were crushed when he saw a girl with a nice set of boobs, & a crisp white bikini walk up to the tiger shark & kiss him. The tiger shark wrapped his muscular arms around her, & then lifted her in the air.

After about an hour of sitting, Dan & Rod decided to head into the water. Rod helped Dan make his way off the sand, & then proceeded to removing his shorts. Rod was wearing a pair of red swim trunks this time, & seeing that bulge of his pop out from behind them made Dan turn red. Dan waddled down to the seashore with Rod helping him behind.

Dan had the water up to his waist of how deep he was, while Rod was way out in the deeper parts. Dan wouldn’t dare himself to go that far, not only because he took precautions for the baby, but because he was terrified of the open ocean. A friend of his told him one time he was bitten by a large eelegator for going too far out. So going any further out into the sea was something Dan would try & avoid.

Dan decided to just stroll around the water, looking for some nice seashells or some starfish or anything he could find to simply pick up, look at for a few moments, & then place it back in. He smiled as he felt the boy inside him give a kick, & then gave his belly a loving rub. Rod meanwhile was body surfing on some large waves. Rod hadn’t surfed in a long, long time, & doing it again, but without his surfboard, was like his first time all over again. He watched Dan as he rose with the large wave, making sure he was around & safe.

As Dan watched a few crab shrimp dance in the shallow parts of the beach, he felt his belly begin to get a strange contraction. Looking down, he rubbed it to see if it was simply the baby acting up. But a few more seconds passed, & Dan noticed that he began to bleed. Before he could panic, he felt a sting of pain hit him. Wincing & holding onto his belly, he made his way out the water, & fell to one knee. The baby was arriving. But how? He wasn’t due until another month!

As Rod was lifted by a wave, he saw Dan again, only this time he didn’t look well. As the wave crashed down, he swam over to the shore as fast as he could. Once he reach the shallow part, he ran towards Dan, & knelt beside him, ¨Dan, are you ok?¨ he asked worried. Dan gasped a few time, & shook his head, ¨The baby…he…he’s coming Rod!¨ he said as he felt another painful contraction. Rod’s eyes widened, & he began to panic, ¨What? But you’re only 8 months pregnant!¨ he exclaimed as he felt his heart beat faster. Dan then let out a moan as he felt the baby begin to move lower. Getting himself together, Rod helped Dan up, carried him in his arms, & walked to the truck.

Stopping at a red light, Rod listened to eh painful moans Dan let out. ¨It’s ok Dan, we’re almost to the hospital,¨ Rod assured Dan giving his belly a quick feel. The baby was ready to come into the world, Rod could feel it. The light turned green & Rod speed through the street towards the hospital. After five minutes, they made it, & Rod helped Dan off the truck, & took him through the doors of the place.

Dan let out painful yells as he felt the baby boy move closer & closer to make his entrance. Rod was by his side, waiting for Dan’s parents to walk in, & for the doctor to come check up on them. Dan’s water than broke while in bed, so Rod quickly went to get the doctor, who had just walked into the room. Dan’s mother & father then walked in, & they greeted both Rod & their son. Dan could barely say hello as he felt immense pain. His dad almost began to cry seeing his own son in so much pain.

But without wasting anymore time, the doctor began to take his place as Rod & Dan’s parents took their spots. Rod turned on his hovering camera to record the whole moment while Eduard had his portable camera in his hands to record it. Rod gave his hand to Dan’s for him to squeeze, ¨You will be alright Dan, you’ll see.¨

Dan began to push, & the doctor began to see a bit of progress. ¨Ok Dan, you’re doing fine, keep that up,¨ he said. Dan gave another big push as he squeezed Rod’s hand. His mom & dad supported him while Rod remained quite for a moment, only waiting to hear how he was doing. But then he suddenly got the feeling to say something, ¨Da, you can do it, keep at it,¨ he supported. Dan rested for a bit, & gave another push.

An hour passed & the doctor began to see the baby crown. A full head of dark greenish hair began to emerge, ¨I see him crowning,¨ he announced. Dan pushed harder & harder as the baby’s head began to come out some more. The sight of the baby’s head suddenly made Eduard faint. The camera in his hand was recording the doctor’s feet, & Eduard was out cold. But the head finally reached out, & Dan took a few seconds to breathe.

Another hour passed & the baby boy was almost out fully. Dan however felt like he couldn’t continue on, ¨I can’t do it, I can’t,¨ he said panting, & sweaty. He was extremely tired, but Rod supported him to continue, ¨Come on Dan, one more, just one more big push,¨ he asked of him, hoping he would do it. Dan took a few breathes, & gave another push, as strong as he could. ¨Alright he’s almost out, he’s almost out,¨ the doctor said as he put his hands to hold onto the child. Dan grunted in pain as he finally felt the rest of the baby come out. ¨He’s out!¨ the doctor announced lifting the boy up.

Dan panted, smiling as it was finally over. He heard his son cry loudly, as Rod looked at his own son, almost crying, then looked at Dan, who did all the work, & he simply was the person there for him. The doctor quickly cut the boy’s chord, dried & weighed him, wrapped him in a towel, & went over to give him to his birth father. He then asked for Esmeralda to leave the room & let Rod & Dan be alone for a while. Two male nurses walked into the room quickly to take Eduard out & into another room. The doctor congratulated both of them, & walked out too. Rod & Dan were alone now.

Dan smiled as he looked at his newborn son, ¨Hello my son, my little angel, my little king,¨ he said gently kissing his baby on the forehead. The baby still cried, but quieted down a bit as Dan rocked him slowly. The baby slowly looked up, with his eyes slowly opening & closing simultaneously. ¨Hello, I’m your daddy,¨ he said to him. Rod leaned in to look at him, ¨And I’m you fa…¨ he stopped speaking. Rod looked at Dan quickly, & Dan did the same. Rod remained quiet for a while, but then he decided to tell Dan what he really wanted, ¨Listen, Dan, I know what we both said about what we wanted, but, seeing how much I grew fond to my son, & you over the past few months…well…what I’m trying to say is…¨ Rod spoke but couldn’t’ figure out what to finish saying. But he too a deep breathe, & continued, ¨Can we just…start this over? I want to be with you, & my son,¨ he finished, & hoped for a good answer.

Dan looked at the old man for a moment, & smiled, ¨Rod, of course. That’s all I’ve been wanting all these months,¨ Dan answered almost crying. Rod gave a big grin, & almost began to cry as well, but the two just locked lips. Their son suddenly began to cry again. ¨Ohh, sshhh…easy there. Here, let your big father hold you now,¨ Dan said to his son slowly handing him over to Rod. Rod gently took his newly born son in his hands, 6 sat on the couch across. ¨Hello there, I’m your father. I’m the one who made you,¨ he lovingly said to the boy. Rod gently stroked his son’s hair, & was amazed at how Dan had this baby boy in only 8 months, but was still healthy like a normal baby. This showed how great Dan cared for him. ¨So, what will we name him?¨ Rod asked slowly rocking his son, who quieted down.

Dan smiled; he thought Rod would never ask. ¨Well, I was thinking of naming him after you,¨ he told the old man. Rod looked up at Dan surprised, ¨Are you sure you want to name him after me?¨ Rod asked still surprised. Dan nodded, ¨I’m positive. We may not have been a couple back then & you may not have wanted such a big part with him, but you were always there,¨ Dan said. Rod nodded understanding. He looked back down at his son, & stroked his cheeks gently. ¨I will make sure to always look out for you & your daddy. My son, my little Rodney,¨ he spoke quietly as he gave Rod Jr. a kiss on the forehead.
