A/N--- I know I said I wouldn’t be posting any new stories, but I was writing this and wanted to let you all read it, I’m happy with it so far and I hope you are all to, its M/M this time around, and I have more to add, though maybe that’ll be every other day or so, depending on what I get written and if I’m happy with how its is. Anyway I hope you all enjoy and let me know what you think.  It starts out slow but will pick up on plot and such, its just how I write.. Now on with the story.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

McBride Manning didn’t hate his job nor did he love it, he modeled male paternity wear for ‘His Style’ magazine, which was also the name of the company that produced and sold a number of items and clothing for the pregnant man. He had been working for the company for two years and he was nineteen.

However, Bride was not pregnant, nor had he ever been, he was simple strapped into a fake belly that made him look as if he were very much round with child and he posed in all the ways that made the clothing look both comfortable and stylish.

“You know, pregnancy is a good look on you”, said photographer Dante Trevor, for the umpteenth time. Bride rolled his beautiful blue eyes and shook his long black hair over his shoulders as he took a seat on a white chair. “I know what you’re getting at Dante, and there is no way that you’re going to get to see me pregnant”, he said as he threw a long leg over the arm of the chair to show just how stretching the jeans he wore were, while still being form fitting.

“Actually I was hoping too do more then just see you pregnant”, Dante snapped a few frames and Bride moved his hands so that they were under the curve to emphasis the soft fabric of the tee and how well it covered the belly. Dante sighed as he snapped more photos of each pose. “Do you have any idea of how many guys actually buy these magazines because they just like looking at the models… at you?”, Dante ask as changed film.

Bride shrugged as he stood and arched his back gently, placing a hand on the fake curve and staring down at it, “I don’t know, and I don’t particularly care either… now hurry up and get the pictures, this thing is heavy”, Bride groaned and rubbed at his back. Dante just smirked as he snapped more pictures, “I still think you look sexy as hell, in fact I think I’ll get some copies of your pictures and jack off to them tonight. Finished”, he ignored Bride’s disgusted groan as he recapped the camera.

“You do that you pervert”, Bride grunted indifferently as he worked at the snaps of the fake belly. Dante moved from the camera to help him, as the belly slid off, Dante slid his hand up Bride’s shirt and inhaled the scent of his long raven locks.

“Back off you perverted jackass”, Bride growled playfully as he leaned back into the touch as Dante slid his hand to Bride’s hip and tucked his thumb beneath the waistband of the jeans. “Go out to dinner with me tonight”, Dante whispered in his ear seductively, “then let me f*** you into the mattress.” He rubbed suggestively against Bride’s backside as he ran the hand from Bride’s waist to the inside of his thigh.

Bride’s breath hitched and he pressed back against Dante, tilting his head back for a kiss that Dante happily supplied. “I’d rather cook what I eat and you’d better wear a condom”, he hissed after he broke the kiss and Dante grinned. “I knew there was a reason I ask you to marry me… you’re a great cook”.

“Oh yeah, that the only reason”, Bride demanded, Dante laughed and stole another kiss, taking the chance to slip a hand downward and give Bride’s ass a loving squeeze. “No, you’re also gorgeous, sweet in your own way, and as the icing on the cake you’re great in bed. I mean you should hear the sounds you make when I’m doing you”, he grinned, and Bride looked outraged. “You creep, how would you like it if I put you on the couch for a week?”, he smirked at Dante’s gasp. “I thought so. See you at home… honey”, Bride drawled with a laugh as he went to change and grab his stuff.

It was on his way home that Bride started to feel sick, it got so severe that he pulled the car over, opened the door and puked onto the ground. “Ung, that’s so gross”, he mumbled as he leaned back into his seat after he finished, he felt hot and his stomach was still queasy. “Must be something I had for lunch”, he sighed as he started the car and sped home before he had to puke again.

And puke again he did, as soon as he was threw the door of his and Dante’s home, he dropped his keys onto the floor and ran to the bathroom with a hand over his mouth.

Bride had emptied his stomach for ten minutes, then feeling gross he had decided on a long bath because his back ached from wearing the fake belly for hours on end. He had a craving for something sweet and since his belly felt better, he indulged in a few jam filled cookies.

Dinner however was never finished, Bride had started on a chicken stir-fry, but he had suddenly felt exhausted, that had happened a few times over the last couple weeks but Bride figured it was because of his ever changing hours at work. So, when Dante got home and found dinner prepared but uncooked and Bride sprawled face down on their bed he just smiled, kissed Bride’s cheek then went to clean up the kitchen.

Bride woke to the delicious smell of the stir-fry and walked blurry eyed into the kitchen, he was starving. “Hey sleeping beauty, you hungry?” Dante placed a plate in front of him at the counter and bride inhaled the wonderful smell. “This actually smells good Dante, who cooked it”? Dante gave him a wounded look, “I’m hurt baby, and you don’t think that I can cook”. “I know you can’t”, Bride answer sweetly even as he stuffed his mouth with bite after bite, “This taste like my recipe, so I guess you just cooked it, congratulations on not burning it”, he deadpanned as he sipped at his water. “Thanks for the vote of confidence precious, I’ll remember that when I’m plowing your field with my tractor later”. Bride startled at the phrase and nearly choked, he was coughing as Dante thumped his back.

“You are such a dammed pervert”, Bride snapped, “you aren’t getting near me now… sleep on the couch’. Dante frowned and crossed his arms, “Why the hell are you so moody all of a sudden, you’re cheery one second, then emotionless the next, followed by pissy all in a period of five minutes. I don’t know what the hells wrong with you Bride”, he said pointedly and Bride looked a little hurt for some reason. “Whatever, I’m going to bed I’m tired, goodnight… ass wipe”, the peeved tone was back and Dante watched Bride leave the kitchen in a huff. “And a Goodnight to you too, Mr. Mood.”, He looked down at his lap, “Looks like the party’s over before it even started, f*** my life sucks”, he sighed and walked up the stairs to the guest room and bathroom.

Chapter 2

Bride lay awake unable to sleep, he felt horrible for being a well, a b*stard was the only word he could think of and tears stung his eyes as he thought of Dante asleep in the other room. He got up and walked slowly to the other room, knocking lightly on the door before opening it and walking inside.

Dante was sitting against the headboard, looking through a large portfolio and smoking a cigarette, he hadn’t said anything to the knocks at the door, and he briefly glanced up when the door opened. Bride was standing at the door, looking dejected, his raven hair a dark halo around his pale pretty face. “I’m sorry about how I acted Dante, I just haven’t felt well today”, he said softly. Dante sighed and laid the cigarette in the ashtray and the portfolio on his lip, he opened his arms and grinned when Bride moved forward and filled them.

“Baby, if you weren’t feeling well you should have said something… no scratch that, I noticed you seemed more tired then usual, and that’s the reason for the moods”.  Bride leaned against his chest and nodded, “maybe, I’m just generally moody at the best of times, but I have been sick a couple times this month, puked a few times I mean”, he admitted. Dante pushed him up gently and studied his face, “Why didn’t you tell me when you got sick Bride”, he ask frowning in disappointment.

“I thought it was just because of what I ate those times, smells to, just like those cigarettes, they stink”, he moaned and Dante laughed lightly as he stroked Bride’s hair. “I’ll put it out then”, he offered noticing that the white stick was smoking a bit more since left unattended and a breeze from the open window blew it directly into Bride’s face. He stubbed it out but he noticed that Bride’s face was paler then usual and he had started to gasp.

“It doesn’t smell that bad”, he teased, but Bride gave him a look that told him it was more then just the smell, the amount of smoke had seemed to trigger an attack of some sort. Bride was having trouble taking a breath and he was clearly agitated and a bit frightened. ”Bride, can you breath”, he demanded and bride wheezed as he shot Dante a dark look

“Right. Dumb question.” He jumped out of bed and pulled on his jeans and a shirt hurriedly. “ Okay precious,  I think I’d best get you to a hospital ASAP,” he helped Bride to stand and wrapped a protective arm around the slender waist. Bride’s panting and gasping coughs where getting worse and he looked ready to pass out, so Dante scooped him up into his arms, ignoring the grunt of protest and hurried down the stairs and out the door to his car. He buckled Bride in; glad that he was aware enough to glare at him, Bride hated being carried.

By the time they reached the hospital, Bride’s eyes were dropping and he made no sign of even acknowledging Dante lifting him into his strong arms. He lost consciousness as he heard Dante yelling for help.

“An asthma attack!? I didn’t even know he had asthma”, Dante’s rough voice was what Bride woke to, he groaned and both Dante and the doctor turned their attention to him. “How are you baby?”, Dante ask followed by the doctors, “How do you feel Mr. Manning”. Bride blinked, “Like I have a weight on my chest”. “That’s because of the attack you had, it was serve enough that I’m keeping you over night”, his tone left no room for argument so Bride focused on Dante’s long fingers running through his hair.

“I haven’t had an attack since I was sixteen, why now?” he ask the doctor who looked at his chart. “Mr. Manning you are aware that you’re pregnant aren’t you?”

“I- I’m what? No, no, no… I can’t be”, he denied incredulously, “We’ve been so careful”, he moaned into a sob. Dante bent and pressed his lips to bride’s warm forehead, he knew they needed to talk but first he had some more questions for the doctor. “He’s pregnant… and that caused the asthma attack?”

The doctor shook his head, “No the smoke inhalation caused the attack, his being pregnant has just caused the condition to manifest itself again. See pregnancy puts a strain on the body and for some people it just aggravates conditions, such as asthma, and makes it known again to a body that may very well have been in control of it. It’s nothing to worry about, we’ll give him a shot then set him up with an emergency inhaler”, the doctor assured with a smile before leaving the room.

Dante took Bride into his arms and stroked his back soothingly as he rested his chin on top soft dark hair. “Bride, babe do you want the baby?” he ask after a few moments.

Bride’s sobs had stopped and he wasn’t quite as shocked anymore. He thought over the question before answering softly, “It’s not that I don’t want it… just that I don’t know if I’m ready.” He lifted his head from Dante’s chest his blue eyes wide and more innocent then Dante thought possible. “I’m scared Dante, I promised myself after my parents abandoned me that I’d never bring a child into this miserable world and I’ve broken that promise. What if I’m as horrible a daddy as mine was, do you even want to be a father?”

Bride had started sobbing again, soft near soundless sobs that racked his fragile frame, and Dante sat on the bed; mindful of the wires and tub that eased the strain on Bride’s lungs, and he gathered Bride into his lap. “I do want to be a father Bride, I always have and to think that I’m now getting the chance and with someone as gorgeous as you no less… well I’m thrilled, excited. We’re getting married and starting a family all in the same year, it’s just to good to be true. I mean I’m afraid that I’m going to wake up and it’s going to be back to when you wouldn’t even give me the time of day”, Dante confessed sincerely.

Bride kissed him so suddenly that he was took off guard, “what was that for?”, he ask confused. Bride blushed slightly, “I was stupid then, but I can tell you now that I’m glad my watch broke and I that to ask you for the time that day. That and that I do want this baby with you”, he whispered and Dante sighed fondly at the memory, the start of this, not a dream but reality, his wonderful reality and it was only getting better

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 3

Reality sucked… That was Dante’s particular opinion of this day that is, as he dodged the remote, a sneaker, and some hard back books. Bride was in a mood and he let off the steam by throwing things, not at Dante, but close enough that he was nearly hit a few times, luckily the only thing that did connect had been a pillow from the couch.

Bride was only third month in and already his moods shifted and varied, sometimes they weren’t all-bad, and sometimes… like now they were a force to be reckoned with.

“Baby, calm down you’re stressing yourself”, Dante said as he bent to pick up items from the floor. Bride’s blue eyes blazed, “I’m not stressed. No, this helps with stress”, he turned and again threw the remote; Dante wondered how in the world he had gotten that back; against the wall with enough force that it left a dent.

Something had to have caused this mood swing to be as violent as it were, “What happened today while I was out”, he ask gently and Bride shifted the vase from one hand to the other in thought, he frowned. “The mail man ask me if I was ill because I looked terrible”, he choked and Dante let out a long sigh, then frowned as the words finally sank in. “You’re angry because the mail man said you look terrible”.

Bride nodded sorrowfully, “He usually flirts relentlessly, but not today and it’s all because I look like a freaking zombie and it’s entirely your fault”, he moaned pitifully as he smashed the vase against the floor and dropped onto the couch.

Dante for the most part was speechless… almost, “Let me get this right, it’s my fault that the guy who delivers our mail didn’t flirt with you. McBride that is ludicrous. That’s- for goodness sakes could you be anymore vain?”, he snorted at the ridiculousness of the situation, not to mention he was a little angry, maybe jealous.

Bride had stood his face flushed in anger, but as soon as he stood, all color drained away and he swayed dangerously. Dante rushed to his side to keep him from falling and was rewarded by being puked all over. “I-I’m so sorry, I didn’t…” tears flooded Bride’s eyes and his cheeks flushed in embarrassment but he just clamped a hand over his mouth, hugged his stomach with the other and rushed to the bathroom, leaving a bemused Dante pulling off his soiled clothing.

“Babe, you okay?” Dante knelt behind Bride as he puked, a large hand pulling his hair back and the other rubbing soothing circles on his back.  When Bride was finished being sick, he slumped tiredly against Dante’s now bare chest. “I hate being sick, it makes my chest hurt”, Bride mumbled as he wiped at his mouth with a tissue. “It’s disgusting and feels terrible, my stomach is cramping, I’m hot, and I’m tired”, he lay his head against Dante’s broad shoulder, his hair was soft and cool against Dante’s own heated skin, and the older man wrapped his arms around the small frame.

“How about we take a bath together, I mean we could both use a hot relaxing soak”, he offered whisper soft. Bride grimaced “No. I mean I puked on you remember”, Bride told him as he pushed himself up. Dante followed suit and shrugged, “it was just my shirt you got and I was wearing two…so no big deal. Now how about I run us that bath in our big tub while you get our sleepwear ready”, he kissed Bride’s forehead and noted that it was rather warm so he decided that a cooler bath would be in order.

“I’m sorry Dante, but I really just want to take a quick shower and go to bed. Its nothing personal, I just don’t feel so hot and I’m really tired”, he said earnestly and gave Dante an apologizing kiss. Dante grimaced this time at the lingering taste of Bride’s before sickness. Bride just giggled softly, “Told ya, now I’ll use this bathroom so that you can use ours upstairs.”

Dante sighed as he watched Bride disappear to get his pajama’s and stuff, he was excited about the baby he really was, but he hadn’t had sex in over three weeks and Bride never seemed to be in the mood for it, he was always too tired, too sick, or too moody, or he had a headache. Still he wanted Bride to be happy and content, so he ignored his own feelings for now.

Chapter 4

The second trimester was proving easier, Bride wasn’t nearly as tired, and he wasn’t sick as often. His mood swings were fewer but still hit at the most unexpected times. There were however, more aches, and Bride’s belly had taken on a small but noticeable curve. Bride had felt the first fluttering of movement at seventeen weeks; he had been both surprised and ecstatic.

“It moved, it moved, there’s an actual little person growing inside of me”, he gasp during lunch and Dante grinned, “Indeed there is, what’s it feel like?” “Like… like butterflies only better, I can’t wait until he or she’s big enough to kick so that you can feel”, he smiled dreamily and poked his pickles into a bowl of chocolate sauce..

That was another thing, Bride was eating more and he craved the oddest things, he had come up with things that turned Dante’s stomach. There were certain foods that Bride had learned to avoid because they either made him nauseas or gave him severe heartburn.

The doctors’ visits had shown that everything was progressing as it should, that the baby was growing perfectly, and even better was that Bride’s asthma hadn’t flared once since that night, though Dante made sure they both had an inhaler on them for just in case.

There was also that glow that had seemed to take over, and Dante had never thought that his lover, his fiancé, could be any sexier then he had already been. He was still modeling the paternity wear, the company had been thrilled by the news of Bride’s pregnancy and they gave him every outfit or piece that he modeled.

They had scheduled their wedding a week after Bride’s twentieth birthday, which was in January.  It had been a small reception with some friends and co-workers from work; since neither Bride nor Dante had any living relatives.

Dante surprised Bride by renting a cabin in the woods for their weeklong honeymoon, because despite being rather prissy at times Bride loved the outdoors and nature.

The cabin was small but beautifully furnished, with indoor plumbing, electricity, and a bedroom with an extremely large bed. They had spent most of the day unpacking and setting up so that they could enjoy the week comfortably. Dante had gone outside to gather firewood before it got to dark or cold.

After Dante had checked the fireplace and put up the grate, he had taken a shower and dressed in a pair of red and black flannel pajamas that were both soft and warm.

Dante opened the door slowly and quietly, just in case Bride had fallen asleep. He found that he was mistaken, because from the sounds in the bathroom, Bride was still very much awake and showering. He climbed into bed, and grabbed the portfolio from his bag beside the bed. He had started taking pictures of Bride since the night that found out the news. He wanted pictures of his gorgeous spouse throughout his whole pregnancy; his favorite so far was the one he had taken just that week. Bride was in a pair of jeans, just slightly bigger then his normal size, and a tight pale blue tee that emphasized the slight swell of his belly.

He looked up when he heard the bathroom door swing open and his breath caught in his throat. Standing with one hand leaned against the doorframe and the other oh his hip, was Bride. He was dressed in black boxers, and a tight black tee that clung tight but nonrestrictive to Bride’s slender frame and accentuated the curve of his belly.

His long glossy black hair hang loosely around his shoulders and face falling over one blue eye, and Dante also noticed that there was a hint of dark stubble that offered a stark contrast to the fair skin and added a more masculine beauty to Bride’s angelic features.

“Babe, you look… actually I think I’m speechless”, Dante started as he raked his eyes over his spouses’ body. Bride just smirked as he strode forward until his was standing at the foot of the bed. “It’s nothing you haven’t ever seen me in before”, he smiled cunningly as he dropped his eyes to Dante’s lower half, which was covered with the top blanket. “But I’ve been purposely ignoring you for the last couple of weeks, so I guess you’re feeling a little deprived”, his voice was saccharine sweet even as his smile had turned wicked.

Dante groaned at the implications of those words and that smile, “Of course I’m deprived. We haven’t made love in weeks because I thought you just hadn’t been in the mood, because of the pregnancy and everything. I didn’t want to push you into anything”, he confessed and Bride laughed as he dropped onto his hands and knees at the end of the bed and began to slowly and seductively crawl over Dante’s large form.

“You poor thing, you really are wrapped around my little finger”, Bride cooed teasingly. “Well I think that it’s time that I finally made it up to you… you see I wanted you all wound up for tonight”, he kept moving forward until he reached Dante’s waist and stopped. He leaned forward and placed little kisses all over the broad well-defined chest before looking up into green eyes that were dark with desire.

“You’re right, I’m defiantly wound up, and I’m irrevocably wrapped around every one of your little fingers”, Dante smiled as he placed his large hands on Bride’s hips, pushing at the fabric of his boxers with his thumbs, “and I am going to show you just how much”.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 5

The honeymoon went by too quickly in Dante’s opinion, but he was happily sated, Bride had been every bit as eager as he had in their lovemaking.  Now they were back home and they still had work, and doctors’ appointments. Bride had gotten a new doctor because the other was on vacation.

The new doctor was a handsome young man, in his thirties, he clearly enjoyed his job and was good it and Bride liked him, but Dante could not help but feel a tab bit jealous. Dr. Talbot or Roy as he insisted gave Bride looks that weren’t all professional in Dante’s opinion.

“You’re a model for “His Style’ aren’t you, I remember seeing you in many of their magazines”, that had been the first thing out of his mouth, followed by a short laugh and an open handshake, “I’m Dr. Talbot but you can call me Roy”. Bride had smiled and nodded, unsurprising because he enjoyed the attention. Nevertheless, the handshake had lasted to long for Dante’s liking and he made a point of moving close to Bride and resting the hand with their wedding band on his shoulder.

Dante stayed as close as possible during the examination, perhaps he was being possessive, but Bride was his spouse after all and he didn’t like the idea of his husband being naked around another man, or anyone for that matter, doctor or not.

The ultra sound seemed to break the tension, as Bride grabbed his hand and stared excitedly at the picture of their baby. “Look it Dante, our baby isn’t just a blob anymore, I can see the little arms, and legs, and the head”, his blue eyes were wide and his excitement contagious. “Would you like to hear the heartbeat?”, Roy ask gazing fondly at Bride who was nodding. “Yes please, we’d like to hear our baby’s heartbeat”, Dante stressed the word our and the doctor gave him a cagey grin.

“Well everything’s as it should be, I would tell you the gender if you wanted, but the baby is hiding it right now”, he said as he wiped at the get on Bride’s belly with a towel. “We can find out next time then, ‘cause I wanna know, we have to get the nursery ready”, Bride said as he redid his jeans and pulled down his shirt. He sat up with Dante’s help and Roy handed him a copy of the ultra sound on a disk. “The receptionist will give you’re your next appointment”, he said giving Bride that smile again and Dante tried not to look as of it bothered him. “Mr. Trevor, a word please”, Roy said as Dante followed Bride out the door, they had both stopped but Dante told Bride to go get his appointment and the ravenette had just given them a look, shrugged and walked out of the room.

“Is something wrong with Bride?” Dante ask worriedly and Dr. Talbot shook his head. “No, Bride is just fine, it’s you, rather us that I wanted to speak with you about. Now I know it must have looked as if I were flirting with him…” Dante cut him off with a snort, “It didn’t just look that way”. Dr. Talbot, Roy sighed and nodded. “Admittedly you are right and it was very unprofessional of me, Bride is… well he is very beautiful and sweet, but he is your husband and I respect that. He reminds me of someone I lost a long time ago, and I really do care about his health and the baby’s and I’m good at my job and want too continue to be Bride’s doctor, your family’s doctor. SO please do forgive my unprofessional nature today”, he said and

Dante sighed and nodded, “Bride’s comfortable with you and your reputation as a doctor is good and since I want the best for my husband and child I’ll forget today, but if I ever catch you coming onto him, then I’ll knock your teeth out and kick your ass”, he warned seriously and Roy nodded in stern agreement.

“What was that about?” Bride ask as they walked to the car, his hand rubbing lovingly over the larger swell of his belly. Dante kissed him as he opened the door for him, “Nothing at all babe, I just wanted to take a look at his diplomas”, he said. Bride laughed, “Yeah right, you possessive b*stard.” He smiled sweetly, “Its okay though ‘cause I like it when you’re all possessive, it’s hot and makes me horny”, he bit his lip and lowered his eyes seductively as he climbed into the car. Dante let out a tight breath and followed, putting the car into gear and hurring towards home.
