I'm always in need of money outside of bills and utilities, so I would definitely write for commissions.

I would like to be a writer-for-hire, but I don't think I write well enough to deserve pay for it. I also can't handle requests well, since I sometimes lose inspiration mid-story.

definitely! just like a lot of people these days, I could use the money as well. Besides, I think that I write well enough in order to get paid for it. I think

If you don't have the time to do it, why bother responding to the offer at all? That makes no sense. It's just like when an artist offers up commissions, and everyone responds, "I would if I had the money!" If you don't have the money, then sod off. If you don't have the time, don't bother.

 you know some people do have lives. some people things to do, that does not mean you need to be mean just cause they answered a question that was put to everyone. and yes someone asked me once if i wanted a commission and i told them ifi had the money. it's the way of life. i know porterbailey quite well and i know that she has a life. maybe you don't but she does.

I would most definitely do it but then the question always comes to mind for me...you don't want anything around the bridge of happy right? Other than that, I'd do it.

I'll throw my hat in the ring. If you request a story, I'll write one up for you, and I'll let you decide on the price to pay after you see the finished project. I'm more of an artistic commissioner myself, but I think I can make some time to write out a short story.

I only have one request. Short stories (1-5 chapters) are up for discussion, but I'll have to request an extra 0.25 cents per chapter for 6 chapters or beyond. I.E.: If you had me write out a 8 chapter story and thought it was worth about $4, I humbly request an extra 0.75 cents for the 3 extra chapters. Unfortunately, money does make the world go round, and time is money.

But I can provide quality work. :3
Look me up and I'll do my best to provide a quick, but quality job.

Hullo~! It's me Daisy. Well, i was just wondering if any of you could  do a trade? I mean, if you write me a story using andy davis from toy story 3 and my oc westin (his boyfriend)? Can you use the name 'Noelle' for the baby too? I've had that name in my mind for AGES! And if you do this for me, ill draw whatever you request! i don't care what it is, really, i don't. Hello! I know someone as already posted a topic similar to this, but I was wondering if there were any writers out there interested in doing commisions?

In this economy, I think anyone would be willing to be paid to do pretty much anything and I am one of those that need a job but can't find one. So, yes I would be interested and any kind of salary would be great.

Sounds like there are plenty capeable folks to rise to the call... but I'll offer myself up to anyone who likes my style, or at least be open to requests. Can't say I can get into absolutely anything but I'm fairly flexible. I'm up to either literary or illustrated commissions. star478 said it very well, I think, lol. My avatar is my own work. My website also has some stories. Finding the right writer is one of those things, it just has to fit. :)
