**This is a story of master and slave, good and evil, pure and tainted. of a man conquering and man conquered.
This is the story of a world that was once ravaged by war and famine, brought to the brink of destruction over and over before finally falling into the pit, with which very few were to return. And as always they were to rebuild, but after the loss of so many a change was made. A single king to rule over all and weapons of mass destruction forgotten. Under the rule of a single king the land was to flurish and system set in place to teach the next generation how to rule with wisdom. and with that the land was to be renamed in honor of this tedious new step in hopefully the right direction.
The land was to be named Helios.
And as the name would suggest Helios grew bright and strong faster than any could anticipate. It was in this fast growth of a nation that a discovery was made. They were all dieing. their race was doomed to fall again it seemed for with the tragedy of all the lives lost it seemed one gender was more affected and women were now rare.
but as before they would seem to rise again another challenge to fight against just to live. for it seem with the destruction all around them a change did indeed occur. Within the bodies of a select few men a chance at life was at hand. It seemed man had again adapted to the world around him.
but these men were in less numbers and harder to identify (excluding a small tattoo in the bellybutton that could only be seen on the full moon) then women so it was forgotten only to be noted in stories and books that it was even occurring. so they worked with what women they had and slowly began to repopulate there growing kingdom and so it went for hundreds of years with continual growth and advancments but always under the rememberence of the past.
The people had apparently learned or so it would seem. Helios was nurturing a dark secret one which brought attention to those males that had been forgotten. And as any such oddity is viewed it was not wanted. So the people decided to "cleanse" themselves with a hunt for those who were different.
an intelligent and flourishing race became mean spirited and spiteful to those of its own who were weaker and subservient to those found to be alpha in nature.
These hunts would last far too long, but as always a change had begun slow almost too slow but it did indeed start and it started with the last King Asher whose brother was born a bearer and died at the hands of a servant when he was 11. Asher had been 24 at the time and loved his younger brother dearly and for that he began to see the hate and change it.
King Asher spent his life chaging things for his mistreated people and upon the birth of his son named him after the brother he lost.
and so Prince Mikhail was named, but as the prince grew it became apparent the son did not favor the father in his treatment of the bearers and was soon found with those that would hunt them on the full moon, stalking the woods looking for a supposed bearer. **
